Being a single mom is a demanding yet rewarding role. You have to wrestle with your countless responsibilities. You are the CEO of your household, the comforter, cheerleader, and breadwinner all rolled into one. It is a herculean task to juggle with all the roles but this blog comes up with five core tips to combat all this effortlessly.

1-Prioritise self-care:

A fulfilled and rejuvenated Mom is a better mother. Do the activities that destress and recharge you. Make sure that you have dedicated a specific time for yourself. It can be your gym time, yoga class or at least going for a walk. On the most overworked days reading your favorite book at bedtime or even a relaxing bath can save you from the feeling of being overwhelmed.

2-Establish a Routine:

The vows of a single mother are endless. Every responsibility pulls you towards itself ruthlessly. So going with the flow is never an option for an aspiring single mother.

If you want to save yourself and your efforts from going into chaos then schedule everything before time. If work deadlines, school events, doctor appointments, and self-care activities dread you then slot them accordingly. You can use daily or weekly planners and to-do lists for this purpose.

Apps and meal planning services can be a life savior so utilize them.

Use the technology to its fullest to properly optimize your working and personal life.

3- Delegate Tasks:

Perfection is just a myth. Successful career and family life is the name of vibing along the rhythm of life perfectly.

So if you do not want to miss a single beat, delegate.

Delegation is not a sign of weakness. It is a sign of strength and resourcefulness.

So it is not a failure to ask your family member to babysit your child.

It is ok to outsource household chores.

Delegating tasks will free up your precious time and energy. You will have more time to rejoice and refresh.

4- Communicate effectively

Communicate clearly and communicate it all.

It is a nightmare that you have done all the preparations for the coming week and on Monday morning, you find your child having a high fever. So communicate with your employer about your multiple challenges so that they can provide support when you need it.

Also, communicate with your children about your work responsibilities and your commitments. It will create a sense of empathy in them. With time, you will build an invisible support system around you.
